1. Earnings are not guaranteed

AfriTask AI does not promise, project, or guarantee any specific level of earnings. Task rounds have applicant caps and quota-based selection — not every applicant is selected, and non-selected users forfeit their entry cost. Even after selection, earnings depend on the submission being approved by an admin reviewer. Rejected submissions do not pay out.

Any earnings figures shown in marketing material, on the leaderboard, or in seed data are illustrative of active users and are not representative of a typical user’s experience.

2. Selection is algorithmic — no favouritism

The Platform’s selection engine uses transparent inputs (previous success rate, lifetime Naira earnings, current streak days, badge boosts) to score each applicant. The algorithm does not consider your gender, ethnicity, location, or any other protected characteristic. Historic selection logs are auditable by our admin team for fairness reviews.

Users with better historical performance will, on average, win more rounds. New users are protected by a dedicated Bucket C which reserves 25% of every task’s slots for zero-history applicants.

3. Work Points are not equity, savings, or an investment

When you top up, you are buying challenge-entry credits. Work Points:

• Do not accrue interest.
• Do not represent any equity or ownership in AfriTask AI Ltd.
• Cannot be converted back to Naira. The only way to convert value from the Platform is by winning tasks and withdrawing the Naira payout.
• Have no monetary value if the Platform is suspended, wound down, or closed for regulatory reasons.

4. This is not a job platform

No employment relationship, contract of service, or agency arises between you and AfriTask AI Ltd. from your use of the Platform. You are an independent applicant to individual task rounds. Nigerian labour-law protections including minimum-wage, notice periods, and severance do not apply.

5. This is not a gambling or gaming platform

AfriTask AI is a skill-based platform. Selection outcomes are determined by measurable prior performance, not by chance. Task rewards depend on the quality of your submission as judged by admin reviewers. Your entry fees are not staked on random outcomes.

Because the platform is skill-based, it does not fall under the Nigerian gaming-and-lottery regulatory regime. If you disagree with this classification, please do not use the Platform.

6. Payments & withdrawal risks

Top-ups and withdrawals are processed by Paystack Payments Limited. AfriTask AI is not a payment institution. In the event of a failed top-up, dispute, or chargeback, resolution follows Paystack’s standard procedures, which may take up to fourteen (14) business days.

Withdrawals to bank accounts whose holder name does not match the Paystack name-resolution result may be rejected. In such cases, funds are automatically refunded to your Earnings Wallet with a ledger entry.

7. Fraud & account safety

You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Because the Platform relies on a device-side anonymous user identifier stored in localStorage, another person with physical access to your unlocked device could operate your account. We strongly recommend enabling device-level screen locking.

We reserve the right to freeze accounts we reasonably suspect of fraud (multi-accounting, referral abuse, bot submissions, coordinated ring behaviour) pending investigation. Confirmed abuse leads to permanent ban and forfeiture of Work Points and Naira earnings.

8. Regulatory disclaimer

AfriTask AI has not been assessed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) because the Platform does not offer regulated financial services. Work Points are not deposits and are not covered by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

9. Force majeure & service availability

We aim for 99% platform uptime, but the Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upstream provider outages (Paystack, MongoDB Atlas, our cloud host), or events beyond our reasonable control (network outages, natural disasters, government actions). No compensation is due for such outages.
